Spartan football team was setup by Mary Hines in 2000 to bring football to children with special
needs and/or a disability and give them the opportunity to play football and receive coaching. But most of
all to have fun.
With the help of a small group of dedicated volunteers and coaches, the team began.
In June 2007 Woodloes Juniors Football Club and Leamington Spartans joined together to become Woodloes Spartans.
Woodloes Spartans are now affiliated to the Birmingham FA and we are trying to enter the pan disability league, this
is a open age league for children with all different disabilities and will meet in one venue every month to
play their games.
Woodloes Juniors would like to say thank you to all the volunteers for letting us join spartans, and a big thanks
to Mary Hines. She is 1 in a million with a heart of gold.
Together we can keep Mary's dream going.
VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers are the lifeblood of the team and without them,
the team would simply not exist. Like all clubs, we are always desperate for more people to get involved.
